Next, you’ll head to Pokhara, stopping at the revered Manakamana Temple along the way. In Pokhara, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas and serene lakes before returning to Kathmandu by jeep. OUTLINE ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
- Arrive at Kathmandu’s Tribhuwan Airport, where a Debyani Tours representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.
- After refreshments, our guide will brief you on your exciting itinerary
Day 2: Sightseeing Kathmandu
Discover Kathmandu’s rich heritage through its sacred sites and vibrant culture—wander through historic Durbar Square, marvel at the majestic Boudhanath Stupa, and climb to the iconic Swayambhunath Temple.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Janakpur via Tribhuwan Highway (160 KM | 6-7 HRS)
- Scenic Road Journey: The drive from Kathmandu to Janakpur takes you through the beautiful hills of Nepal, descending into the flat Terai plains.
- Witness lush green fields, traditional Tharu villages, and rivers like the Kamala and Sunkoshi
Day 4: Explore Janakpur Dham
- A sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus, known as the birthplace of Goddess Sita. Visit Janaki Temple, Ram-Sita Vivah Mandap, and Dhanush Sagar.
Day 5: Janakpur to Chitwan (270 KM | 6-7 HRS)
- Terai’s Natural Beauty: The road passes through the fertile plains of the Terai, with views of rice paddies, mustard fields, and small towns.
- Chitwan National Park: Arrive in Chitwan, a UNESCO-listed wildlife reserve
Day 6: Explore Chitwan National Park & Tharu Culture
- Elephant-back safari or jeep safari to spot rhinos, deer, and if lucky, Bengal tigers.
- Canoe ride in the Rapti River (watch for crocodiles & birds).
- Walk with expert guides to explore Tharu Culture and Tharu villages
Day 7: Chitwan to Pokhara Drive (160 KM | 4-5 HRS)
- Drive along the Trishuli River, with views of waterfalls and terraced farms.
- Pass through Muglin, where hills meet the river valleys.
- As you approach Pokhara, the snow-capped Annapurna range emerges in the distance
Day 8: Pokhara Sightseen
- Sunrise at Sarangkot (panoramic Himalayan views).
- Visit Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, and Peace Pagoda.
- Boating on Phewa Lake with reflections of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain).
Day 9: Pokhara to Kathmandu via Manakamana Temple(200 KM | 7-8 HRS)
